PAR Puzzles came into being in 1932 and were all individually handcrafted on five-ply mahogany. Although their creators, Frank Ware and John Henrique, originally conceived them in their basement as a personal pastime, they were soon “discovered” by Life Magazine via their four-page photo essay that dubbed them as “The artistic wizards of wood.” Shortly thereafter, their work was featured in numerous other national publications and PAR Puzzles are now known as, “The Rolls Royce of Picture Puzzles.”
It’s a handcrafted puzzle from the 40’s/50’s that has an added bit of history. Apparently, the original owner received it from the company’s owner’s themselves. I have to say, the pieces look amazing.
