This is a wonderful 1900’s tin clockwork driven figure by Fernand Martin (trademark F.M.) in all original condition. It measures about 7 inches high and features a man selling hot chestnuts. The name in french is “Chaud les Marrons”. There were two versions of this toy, a later version with “Chaud les Marrons” written on the base and an earlier version without any writing on the base, which is this one. The condition is overall very good with some wear typical for a toy of this age (see pictures). When wound, the hand turns to roast the chestnuts and the whole figure moves forwards and back. This is a wonderful early piece and toys by Fernand Martin are getting extremely difficult to find. Buyer pays shipping. I will ship worldwide. Please ask any questions. Happy Bidding!!
