Lehmann..Toys & Prices rate the toy 9 out of the 10 most sought after tin wind-up toys.This toy is 100% original.I don’t usually use the word “mint” when describing an item but this beautiful vintage toy is as close as you will find to mint.It retains the original stamped key and the bottom plate is signed and dated clearly.It is dated May 12 – 1903.The most common place for wear on this tin toy is around the shoe area from sliding back and forth when wound up.I have taken photos to show the common paint chips.This toy looks to be seldom used,,if turned over there is usually an amount of wear around the silver pie shaped gear.This one has hardly any wear.The painted surface retains its original finish with nice light patina in a few areas.The original pipe is on the hat.When wound the toy operates properly.For the vintage toy collector that only buys the best i doubt if you could ever find one cleaner and original than this.I have only seen a couple on display at shows over the years and they were not near to a 10 as this one…FREE Shipping in Canada & USA..If you have questions or need photos please e mail me….Good Luck.!!On Mar-06-10 at 14:08:32 PST, seller added the following information: SHIPPING….THE SHIPPING IS ONLY FREE IN CANADA & USA..OVERSEAS BUYERS MUST PAY SHIPPING…
