Thank you for looking and bidding! This auction is for an all original POSTWAR Lionel catalog # 2360 PENNSYLVANIA RAILRAOD RAILROAD CLASS GG-1 ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE. Circa 1957 vintage. A REAL BEAUTY !!! THIS IS THE BIG ONE —– LIONEL’S ELECTRIC GIANT ! This is a separate sale item that appears in the back of the 1957 catalog. Remember, Lionel was producing Tuscan Red, solid stripe GG-1 in sets. This was the last of the 5-stripe Brunswick Green GG-1s. Awesome, all original parts, shell paint and graphics. NEARLY PERFECT rubber stamped stripes and heat stamped lettering. No cracks or repairs anywhere including the shell. C8 + C9- piece. No touchups anywhere. Just a few chips on some high spots along the top edge of the cab. A factory paint disturbance near one of the ladders (visible in the pics). Some of the nicest stripes I have ever seen on a GG-1 !!! 99% !!! Original pantographs and decals. Some SUPER-O run time (see rollers). NO BATTERY DAMAGE !!! All functions are ok . Horn relay and horn ok. Motors run freely, reverses fine. Needs to be cleaned and serviced. I ran it on the track you see in the pics.
