Made in Germany by Ki Co which was co-owned by Hubert Kienberger and Georg Levy up until 1910. In 1910, Georg Levy left to start his own factory in Nuremburg. There are only a few German toy companies that made this type of toy motorcycle during this period. Most commonly found are the Lehmann examples and Gunthermann also made one. The rarest toy motorcycles produced were made by KiCo. Georg Levy produced the same motorcycle later in the 20s using his Levy trademark and slightly different litho. Both the Ki Co and the Levy toys are extremely rare and this first Ki Co version is the rarest of all! Only two of these toys have come up for auction in the past fifteen years and both examples were in less condition than this original one owner toy! This motorcycle is original, complete and in excellent plus condition. It works great and when wound, it travels forward in a circle. It features all tin construction with detailed lithography including a V-Twin motor, embossed parts, spoked wheels, 3 dimensional civilian rider and mechanical windup motor. KiCo is printed on both sides of the fuel tank and made in Germany is stamped on top of the tank. Measures 7.75” long x 6.5″ tall. This will make a wonderful, very rare addition to your collection!
