This magnificently litho spring-action airship and hanger penny toy was manufactured by Meier of Germany in the 1930s. The hanger is 2.5 inches long and when the tan hanger door is opened a yellow, blue and red detailed airship exits out another 1.5 inches. The spring mechanism is fully functional, and the body in exceptional (C9+) condition. One in similar condition, from the David Pressland Collection, was sold at auction at Christies for 4,00 pounds! This is a major showpiece for any antique toy collection. Will ship internationally (please inquire for details).
