1939 Dooling Mercury RWD Tether Car: This Dooling Brothers Deluxe gas engined racer is a very special offering. Any number of tether cars turn up that are “restored” or of vague origin. This Dooling however, offers the true collector the benefit of being a completely original, untouched example! Further, it was obviously well raced by someone who knew what they were doing. Eighteen inches in length. Note the following: 1) Beautifully fitted grille guard 2) Dooling wheels and tires to the front, and Gardner 4 inch wheels and tires to the rear. 3) Aluminum hood and bellypan 4) Fitted seat in dark red oil cloth 5) Factory recommended .57 Dennymite spark ignition engine which turns through easily and with very good compression. 6) Superb fitted steering wheel 7) Relocated tether attachments Custom off/on wand 9) Reinforcing cowl/tail joiners.
