This is a very rare 1950s Ferrari V-12 Bimbo Racer Childs Car by Sila. The car was hand crafted in Torino Itlay. Was purchased many years ago from a lady who remembers getting it for her 5th Birthday in 1959. The car has been stored it the same box that she remembers getting it in. Built in Italy and said to have been styled by none other than Giovanni Michelotti, these wonderful child’s cars were based on the Ferrari 375MM Spyder, with a shapely sculpted fiberglass body, electric motor which operates on a 12 volt battery, and working lights – what more could a kid ask for? Measuring 170cm in length, these were fun child’s sports cars in the same idiom of the Baby Bugattis of the Twenties and it is thought that like those a number ended up in the families of prominent people, even Dwight Eisenhower’s grandchildren had one ! THIS IS A VERY RARE MINITURE CAR !! The steering is broken, I do have the center piece for it. The body is in great shape with some minor scrathes. I was going to have it completly restored, however, I have not gotten that far. Please ask any questions before bidding. Buyer to pay all shipping charges. Local pick up is welcomed !!!
