All Brass HO Scale Union Pacific (UP) ‘City of San Francisco’ E2 (A/B) Passenger Diesel Set from Overland Models, Inc. (OMI) Hard to find museum quality super detailed “HO” scale all brass models of Union Pacific Railroad’s (UP) streamlined ‘City of San Francisco’ E2 (A/B) set of diesel locomotives from Overland Models, Inc. (OMI). The prototype engines of this class were built by GM’s Electro-Motive Corporation in 1937 exclusively for UP to power its famous “City of San Francisco” passenger train from Chicago to San Francisco. Only two A/B/B sets were constructed, the other set was for the “City of Los Angeles” train from Chicago to Los Angeles. This E2 (A/B) set representing the post war era of the late 1940’s were manufactured by the master craftsmen of Ajin Precision in Korea and imported by OMI as catalog #5348 and #5349 in January of 1990. Rare limited edition pieces and very hard to come by, excellent additions as display models or for your favorite layout. Exquisitely detailed and beautifully custom painted in UP’s yellow and grey paint scheme with full window glazing. It also comes with constant intensity headlights (E2A unit) and cab interior detail. Both units are powered, each by a top quality can motor with dual flywheels and tower drive gear boxes. All wheels are powered and each model has been lubed and tuned to run super smooth. In mint condition with no wheel wear and comes with the original box and foam, still in excellent condition. Please check out the enclosed photos.
